Catcher and the Rye First Impression of Holden

Holden the main character in the book “Catcher and the Rye” is a 17 year old boy who lives in New York and his family is not rich but he is because he takes his parents money. Holden is the captain of the fencing team and had a best friend named Ackley but he doesn’t do good in any of his classes expect for English. He has a bad mouth and swears every sentence, but teachers see potenial in him but doesn’t apply it when he is in school. He also smokes and doesn’t make good decisions.  I feel like Holden has a secret love for this girl named Jane.
